Description :

TL-1A belongs to the TNF superfamily of ligands. It is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells, and to a lesser extent in placenta, lung, kidney, skeletal muscle, pancreas, small intestine and colon. TL-1A inhibits endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis, and has been shown to induce NFkB activation, caspase activity, and apoptosis in responding cell lines. TL-1A interacts with TNFRSF25/DR3 receptor, but can also bind to a decoy receptor TNFRSF21/DR6. Recombinant human TL-1A is a 22.0 kDa polypeptide of 194 amino acid residues.

Stability :

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20⁰C. Reconstituted TL-1A is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20⁰C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE gel and HPLC analyses.

Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per µg (1EU/µg).

Biological Activity :

Determined by its ability to stimulate IFN-γ production by human PBMC using a concentration range of 10.0-100.0 ng/ml. Note: Results may vary with PBMC donors.
