Description :

I-TAC is a 'non-ELR' CXC chemokine that is regulated by interferon and signals through the CXCR3 receptor. I-TAC is chemoattractant for IL-2 activated T cells, but does not affect freshly isolated un-stimulated T cells, neutrophils, or monocytes. Recombinant human I-TAC is an 8.3 kDa protein containing 73 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokines.

Stability :

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20⁰C. Reconstituted I-TAC is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20⁰C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Purity :

Greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE gel and HPLC analysis.

Endotoxin Level :

Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per µg (1EU/µg).

Biological Activity :

Determined by its ability to chemoattract IL-2 activated T-cells using a concentration range of 0.1-10.0 ng/ml.
